
Two children and an adult were beaten by a driver outside a preschool in a southern Carolina church in what could have been an intentional act, authorities said.
Police are looking for the suspect after the accident in the Presbyterian Church Sunrise on the island of Sullivan, a beach city on the outskirts of Charleston, according to the sergeant of the Isle of Palms Police. Matt Storen.
A child and an adult were taken to hospitals in unknown conditions and the third victim was treated in the place and released, police said.

The suspect left his sedan after the accident and is believed to be on foot and armed with a knife, said Storen.
An active human hunt is ongoing, with drones in the sky and the control points at the entrance to the island of Sullivan, said Storen.
There was no altercation before the incident, according to Storen.
