A group of bipartisan senators met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday morning before the tense exchange between the Ukrainian leader, President Donald Trump and vice president JD Vance.
Sens. Lindsey Graham, RS.C., Chris Coans, D-Del., And Amy Klobuchar, D-minn., In addition to other democratic and republican senators, gathered for an hour “encouraging” Zelenskyy before their visit to the White House, the three legislators published in their social media accounts.
“I just finished an encouraging meeting in Washington with President @Zelenskyua and a bipartisan group of senators to discuss our current association with Ukraine,” Coob wrote in xAccompanied by a selfie with Zelenskyy, Graham and Klobuchar.

“This is half a billion of dollars that will greatly benefit the American economy. Ukraine is the richest country in Europe when it comes to critical minerals,” said Graham. “These minerals are necessary for us to compete and win the economy of the 21st century. President Trump was very excited, President Zelenskyy is very excited about this economic agreement.”
However, the agreement now seems to be in danger after Zelenskyy, Trump and Vance shot at the Oval office and subsequently canceled the firm ceremony.
Graham at the White House later on Friday seemed to change his song of his morning comments, saying: “I have never been more proud of the president. I was very proud that JD Vance defended our country.”
“What I saw in the Oval office was disrespectful, and I don’t think we can do business with Zelenskyy never again,” he said.

“It made it difficult for the American people to believe that it is a good investment,” he added. “He needs to give up and send someone with whom we can do business or who needs to change.”
Even so, Klobuchar and Coans went out with X positions in defense of the Ukrainian president after his exchange in the Oval office, particularly the moment when Vance accused Zelenskyy of being “disrespectful” with his US hosts.
