Trump tells the members of the cabinet that are in charge, no Musk: Fuentes

President Donald Trump convened a meeting at the cabinet level on Thursday morning to tell the heads of the agencies that are in charge of the agencies and departments that supervised, not Elon Musk, multiple sources familiar with the matter to ABC News said.

Musk was in the room for the meeting when Trump told the senior officials that Musk’s role is to make recommendations and not unilateral decisions, either about personnel or policy issues, said the sources.

Musk published in X that the meeting was “very productive.”

The meeting occurs when their own cabinet secretaries have privately expressed frustration about musk and mandates that have been giving that have caused mass confusion between the Federal Work Force.

Despite not being a member of the cabinet, Musk has overcome the influence on the administration, since it supervises the work of the Government’s efficiency department to reduce the size and scope of the government. Musk attended the first meeting of the Trump cabinet, sometimes taking the center of the stage.

The feathers with Musk flyers when he published in X last month that all federal employees would receive an email demanding details of their last week’s work, a measure that took some in the unsuspecting administration and caused generalized confusion, sources told ABC News. He created tension between Trump’s cabinet members, since multiple agency leaders told his employees to let them answer until they were informed about the situation.

Through Doge, Musk has supervised the cuts of thousands of employees of the federal government. Recently, Dege claimed a total government savings of $ 105 billion, although the figure remains not verifiable.

Trump argued the cabinet meeting on Thursday afternoon after signing an executive order that stopped the tariffs in Canada and Mexico. He said it was a “very good meeting” that focused on “cut.”

He said he told the members of his cabinet to “be first” and look at people who can cut in their own agencies, but “keep good people.”

“Keep all the people you want, everyone who needs, and it would be better if they were there for two years in place, because in two years they will know people better,” Trump said. “But I want them to do the best job they can. When we have good people … that is beautiful, that is very important. And we want them to keep good people.”

However, he said he warned the members of the cabinet that if they did not make the necessary cuts to reduce the “swelling” in the federal government, the musk and doge would take care.

“Let’s see them, and Elon and the group, we will see them,” Trump said. “And if they can cut, it’s better. And if they don’t cut, Elon will cut.”
