Trump Lives updates of the 2nd thermos: Trump defends the tariffs as "the best" we have made

President Donald Trump spoke with journalists on Air Force One while traveling from Palm Beach, Florida, to Washington, DC, where he defended the tariffs, saying that they will be the “best we have done as a country.”

“It will make our country rich again. We have many companies as you know, car companies are opening land now. We have already had four or five announced, but many more are approaching, and basically we will recover the money, much of the money we have given for many decades,” Trump said.

The president suggested that tariffs are beneficial for job creation and factory returns to the United States, citing the plans of Taiwan semiconductor manufacturing to invest $ 100 billion in new manufacturing plants.

Trump was also asked if he would resume the aid to Ukraine if the Mineral Agreement is signed, but abstained a definitive response.

“Well, I think they will sign the mineral agreement,” Trump said. “I want you to want peace.”

Trump said Ukraine has not demonstrated that, and will become evident in the next two or three days.
