The representative Jasmine Crockett, who apparently mocked the Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, now affirms that his comments that refer to him as “Governor Hot Wheels” while they spoke on a banquet in Los Angeles on Saturday were not about Abbott’s disability, but rather “his terrible policies.”
“I was not thinking about the condition of the governor: I was thinking of the airplanes, trains and cars that he used to transfer migrants to the communities led by black mayors, deliberately fanning the tension and fear among the most vulnerable,” Crockett wrote in a publication about X. “Literally, the next line I said was that it was a” hot disorder “, reference to its terrible policies.”
Crockett added that the outrage was “another distraction”, to highlight the policy of Governor Abbott of Busage to migrants who had been released from federal custody to other states.
“Finally, this is another distraction. Instead of becoming obsessed and clinging to each of my words, perhaps my political enemies should focus on doing the work of the people who chose us to improve their lives.”
“At no time did I mention or alluded to his condition,” Crockett continued. “So, I am even more horrified that the same people who unequivocally support Trump, a man known for racially insensitive nicknames and teases people with disabilities, are now outraged.”

Abbott, who swore as Governor of Texas in 2015, was paralyzed in 1984 after a tree fell on him as he ran and severely damaged his spinal cord.
Appearing in Hannity of Fox News, Abbott responded to the representative Crockett promoting his leadership and achievements in Texas.
“It is another day and another disaster of the Democrats,” Governor Abbott said when his reaction was reaction to the comments of the representative Crockett.
“The reality is that they have no vision or political. They have nothing to sell, but hate, and Americans are not buying it. It is a reason why Texas will remain red and why Republicans will continue to win elections throughout the country,” said Abbott. “The conclusion is that Republican states like Texas are leading the way, and with comments like this by Democrats, we will leave them in dust in future elections.”
