The Russian strike kills 4 in Ukraine in the midst of American aid, intelligence freezing

London – The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said there can be no “pause” in Russia after another night of missile and drone attacks in Ukraine, the last flood that will arrive the day after the United States confirmed that he had stopped sharing intelligence with kyiv.

The decision of President Donald Trump to stop all military aid and the exchange of intelligence of the United States has generated concerns that Ukraine aerial defenses will become less effective in the days, weeks and months.

The Pause followed the explosive Oval office meeting last week between Zelenskyy and Trump. White House officials have suggested that freezing can be lifted if Ukraine takes concrete steps towards a peace agreement with Russia to end the 3 -year invasion of Moscow.

The Ukraine Air Force reported 112 drones and two missiles thrown into the country during the night, with 68 demolished drones and 43 lost in flight.

The Air Force reported damage to the regions of Kharkiv, Sumy, Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk.

In Dnipropetrovsk, a ballistic missile hit a hotel in the city of Kryvyi Rih: the hometown of Zelenskyy.

“A ballistic missile hit an ordinary hotel,” the president wrote on social networks. Four people were killed with more than 30 wounds, he added. The attack occurred shortly after a group of foreign humanitarian volunteers registered at the hotel, said Zelenskyy. None was injured.

The sources told ABC News that two American citizens were among the volunteers who survived the strike, working for the Freedom Trust and Ukraine organization of the Freedom Trust and Ukraine.

“There should be no pause in the pressure on Russia to stop this war and terror against life,” Zelenskyy wrote.

Russian missiles and drone attacks are a night occurrence in Ukraine. The country has become largely dependent on Western anti -aircraft weapons to defeat incoming projectiles.

The exchange of American intelligence with Ukraine had allowed kyiv to give warnings to the specific areas ahead of the strikes of Russian drones and missiles, track Russian airplanes taking off, the drones are thrown and shooting missiles.

A Ukrainian intelligence official told ABC News on Wednesday that the shared intelligence pause included an arrest by sharing US satellite images through the defense intelligence agency.

Zelenskyy is expected to travel to Brussels, Belgium, to meet with European leaders on Thursday, while looking for more Western military and political support. The president has constantly requested more aerial defenses, a problem now more pressing amid the freezing of the US help.

The director of the CIA, John Ratcliffe, said on Wednesday that Trump had asked for a “pause” and is committed to peace. The pause, Ratcliffe suggested, caused Zelenskyy’s statement that he was ready to relive the conversations about a possible peace agreement.

“And I think that in the military front and the intelligence front, the pause that allowed that to happen, I think it will disappear,” he added.

Trump has repeatedly blamed, and falsely, to Ukraine for starting war with Russia while sought to undermine Zelenskyy’s legitimacy as president. The White House is pressing Kyiv to accept an agreement to end the fighting and sign an agreement that gives access to the United States to Ukrainian mineral resources.

In a Tuesday statement, Zelenskyy said that the disastrous White House meeting was “unfortunate.”

“Ukraine is ready to get to the negotiating table as soon as possible to approach lasting peace,” said the president. “Nobody wants peace more than the Ukrainians. My team and I are ready to work under the strong leadership of President Trump to obtain a peace that lasts.”
